YouTube player

The trails system is very well and clearly identified all along the way.

There are a few relatively steep slopes as you approach the peak of the mountain, but nothing that a relatively fit person can’t undertake.

The Views

There are a few viewpoints along the trail. Indeed, you will have a few nice vantage points, mainly of Mont Sutton and Mont Orford in the distance.

As you approach the peak, the long walk in the snowy pine grove towards the highest point on the long and winding trail is truly magical.  Therefore, make sure to take some time to stop and take in the breathtaking surroundings along the way.

Furthermore, it took us around 3-1/2 hours to complete the Dos d’Orignal trail loop in relatively deep, unpacked, fresh snow.

Tranquility

In short, if you like the calmness of the forest in beautiful and natural surroundings, the Dos d’Orignal trail is definitely the trail for you! As a matter of fact, we met absolutely no one on this part of the trail system.
