Santa Clara (SNU) Cuba on Approach and Landing

Approach and landing in Santa Clara (SNU) Cuba as our Air Transat Airbus A330 flight nears its’ final destination.

Santa Clara is the capital of the province of Villa Clara. In addition, the city is the fifth largest city in Cuba by population.

Moreover, the city is very rich in culture and in history. For instance, Santa Clara is also known as the resting place of Che Guevara.

Abel Santamaria international airport, in Santa Clara (SNU), is the main arrival point for vacationers traveling to the hugely popular resorts in the area.

As a matter of fact, those resorts are located in Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Los Brujas and Cayo Ensenachos.

Another key point is that it takes approximately one and one half hour drive to get from the airport to Cayo Santa Maria.

Additionally, Cayo Santa Maria is best known for it’s roughly 8 miles of pristine, powdery white sandy beaches and aqua blue waters.

The island hosts a number of resorts located directly on this powder white sand beach. Most of these hotels are all-inclusive and offer a variety of activities and entertainment. Moreover, many of these facilities cater to various budgets, big and small.
